Selain meluncurkan laptop UX21 yang Ultra-tips, Asus juga telah merilis laptop yang juga ingin menyaingi Macbook Air yakni Asus U36S. U36S ini hadir dengan layar 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 
LED-backlit, prosesor 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-2620m, GeForce GT 1GB 520M kartu grafis, 4GB RAM DDR3, SSD 160GB, webcam 0.3MP, WiFi , Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0. port HDMI, baterai 8-cell dan juga berjalan pada Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OS.
